2023 Fall Athens Little LeagueBaseball and Softball Player Evaluations (except for baseball Senior League) will be the weekend of Aug 12/13. Times will be announced closer to the dates. Please make every effort possible to attend evaluations unless you have an exception below.
Coach Pitch: Coach Pitch players are expected to attend one tryout session, either on Saturday or Sunday. Following evaluations, teams will be formed.
Machine Pitch Baseball: Machine Pitch players are expected to attend one tryout session, either on Saturday or Sunday. Following evaluations, teams will be formed.
Softball: Softball players are expected to attend one tryout session, either on Saturday or Sunday. Following evaluations, teams will be formed.
Senior League Baseball: Evaluations will likely be the weekend of 8/19-20, stay tuned for more info.
Kid Pitch Baseball Ages 9-12: Kid Pitch players are expected to attend one tryout session, either on Saturday or Sunday. All players need to attend even if they are on a tenured Majors team in the Spring seasons.
1. When you arrive at evaluations, please go to the check in table with the red tent prior to going to your assigned field so we can confirm your jersey size and if you are in or out of boundary. The jersey size confirmed at the check in table is what will be ordered for your child, there will not be another confirmation of jersey size after that. We will direct you to the correct field after you check in.
2. If you have a sibling with a different time slot, we will try to get them in as close to the same time as possible, even if the letter of the last name doesn't match the time.
3. Please bring any equipment you would like to donate to a new player to evaluations, we will have a donation table set up for players who can use that equipment.
4. Must have for evals: baseball or softball glove (if you don't have access we will try to find one to borrow). If you have a batting helmet, cleats, and a bat, bring or wear those also, but if you don't have those we will have some to borrow.
